At the University of Utah Medical Center, our Jack and Slide crew was brought in to install eight 18,000-pound air handler units. Each unit was flown over the building and landed on a platform built outside an eighth-story window. From there, the crew skated the equipment through the opening and into the building, using come-alongs to carefully guide the units through tight spaces and around curbing. Navigating overhead ducting and pipes meant every inch counted. The team used Johnson bars to fine-tune placement and worked methodically across a maze of interior pads, curb-hopping with precision to reach the final location. Despite the obstacles, the process stayed smooth from start to finish. This project is a clear example of how Mountain Crane delivers clean, controlled execution—no matter how simple or detailed the job may be.
