Power Moves in the Field

Out at a new substation connected to a nearby solar farm, we were brought in to install power pole sets ranging up to 170 feet tall. These poles play a critical role in directing power from the solar site to the grid. While the smaller poles were handled by the customer, the larger and more technical sets required more capable crane skills. Our crew handled the lifts efficiently and safely, using the Liebherr LTM 1160. Due to unusual ground conditions, setup required careful planning. The crane was positioned to complete all lifts from a single location, avoiding unnecessary moves and keeping the project moving forward. It’s a clear example of how deliberate planning and reliable equipment help keep even technical lifts simple and efficient.
