Our team stepped in to assist with the recovery of a sunken houseboat at Wahweap Marina in Lake Powell. The job began with using a crane to build a barge system for the dive team to work from. The divers used airbags to lift the boat off the lakebed and secure it to the barge. Once secured, the barge transported the boat to the ramp, where two GMK 400-ton cranes were rigged to lift it out of the water and onto a transport. It was a complex operation that brought together expertise, teamwork, and the right equipment to get the job done safely.
