From 2009 - 2011 U2 was touring the world with its infamous “Claw”, their massive and equally impressive stage. Now, after all this time the stage has an encore performance at the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium in Draper, Utah. It will be known as EECO or Ecosystem Exploration Craft & Observatory Command Center. Essentially it is a high-tech learning campus focused on the environment. Our team was brought on scene to bring it off the ground and make it a reality for the Aquarium. As the project progressed we had anywhere from one, to three, and finally 8 cranes on-site as we hoisted the massive, 238 ton, steel structure into place. Totally assembled, it stands approximately 165 feet tall. We are extremely proud of our entire team for the effort and success of this job! Our partnership with the Aquarium and SME Steel made for an excellent project.
