Ever wonder how a part underneath a 112,000 lb locomotive gets replaced? With our Liebherr 200 ton, AT crane, that's how! This Ems SD40 locomotive had an 11,000 lb traction motor that needed replacing. Our crew first hoisted up the locomotive and the old traction motor was taken out. Then, a new piece was picked and set into place. After that our crane held the train up once again while the whole section was rolled back into place. Great work crew! (Insert train horn: toot-toot!)
