Building a Tower Crane

Building a Tower Crane

Mountain Crane recently helped in the erection of a giant crane in Boise, Idaho. Two large cranes, including Mountain Crane’s Liebherr 500t, helped erect a 310 foot tower crane in downtown Boise. This tower crane is tall enough to stretch over Boise’s U.S. Bank Building, one of the tallest structures in the state. Starting at the 450-ton steel foundation, the crane installation took a week to complete. The tower crane will be used to develop Idaho’s new City Center Plaza project. The tower crane is expected to remain on the construction site for almost a year, helping build the 18 story tower. This building will serve as the future home of Zions Bank, in addition to two floors of retail stores, space for parking, and office space.
